How did you get into bike racing?
I first got into racing when one of my dad’s coworkers told me to come out to Ida Lee Park and race my Trek kids mountain bike in a cyclocross race. I hated it when I was racing, and thought I would never do it again, but as soon as it was over, I decided it was the best thing ever, and I haven’t decided otherwise yet.

What is your favorite ride?
My favorite ride is probably out in Bend, Oregon, riding Skyliners, Aubrey Butte, and Mount Bachelor. Also, riding in Gila, New Mexico, was pretty sweet.

What are your goals for the 2012 season and beyond?
I really want to do well in some big stage races, Gila, Cascade Classic, Green Mountain. My main goal though, is really Junior Nationals. It will be my last year as a junior and I want to go big, a podium in one event would be sweet, but all three would be epic. After I’m done in the Junior ranks, I want to move on to a world renowned U23 program. We’ve got a sweet team, and I’m looking forward to the next season!
