How did you get into bike racing?
First my dad bought a Huffy road bike at a garage sale, then my brother got into racing because one of his classmates, Burke Nash, was on the NCVC juniors team, which his dad was running at the time. I couldn’t wait until the next year when I would turn ten and could start racing. I’ve only become competitive in the last couple years, though.

What is your favorite ride?
Although I have been really fortunate to do a lot of great rides, from Canada to Mallorca to California to Arizona, I have to stay local for my favorite: riding out to Sugarloaf Mtn. on a cold day with my buddy, David.

What are your goals for the 2012 season and beyond?
I want to see the HPC team be the best it can be and operate at its full potential. Personally, I’d like to just keep enjoying cycling without getting wrapped up in what I feel is excessive tension that surrounds junior cycling. I am starting school next year, but if I have a couple successful years as a U23 I’d like to look at getting on a pro team.
