How did you get into bike racing?
Basically, my dad bought me a nice road bike when I was 12, but eventually he get tired of me attacking him on rides, so I joined a team and started getting dropped and then started racing a couple years after that.

What is your favorite ride?
Huge mountain ride in Frederick, MD, any time in the fall. The climbs are a little too steep for me and I have to walk up most of them, but the leaves are nice to look at.

What are your goals for the 2012 season and beyond?
In 2012, I really just want to learn a lot and start to race at a much higher level. Someday, I want to win a national championship.
